This high quality wholemeal rice is grown and harvested in Piedmont using traditional farming methods for a pure and natural product. It is a newly developed variety created by crossbreeding Italian and Chinese varieties. The grains are dark in colour and offer a pleasant nutty fragrance that intensifies on cooking. This is a very healthy variety rich in vitamins, protein and minerals. Use this distinctive rice as an accompaniment to meat stews or add to soups for texture and flavour. Also makes a delicious, nutty rice salad.
