These Extra Jumbo Kalamata Olives are produced by a co-operative of independent farmers in Messinia, the area of Greece famous for its olive groves. All the olives are grown and processed in the region by co-op members for guaranteed quality. The Kalamata olives are harvested by hand when they are perfectly ripe to protect their delicate flesh. The olives are cured in sea salt brine then immersed in wine vinegar to preserve them and cultivate a light, fruity flavour. These juicy, purple olives are of the finest quality and make a delicious snack or addition to salads and meze.
