Gardeny Merlot Vinegar is produced by Olis de Catalunya in Spain. The vinegars of Olis de Catalunya come from a cooperative located in Mollerusa (Lleida) in Spain which produces intensly aromatic vinegar using a trickling method, developed in 1823 by the German chemist Schutzenbach.

Gardeny Merlot Vinegar is a bittersweet vinegar produced from intensely aromatic Merlot wine, with hints of vanilla and liquorice.

The natural method of converting the wine to vinegar and six months ageing in French oak barrels results in a uniquely smooth tasting product with toast notes of blackberries, reaspberries adn violets.
