The Vassilakis Estate is situated in the Mirabelle region of the Greek island of Crete. This family business was founded in 1865 and specialises in producing premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The Vassilakis family were the first to recognise that the climate in the region was ideal for growing olives and established the groves that are still used on the estate today. Traditional low-density farming methods together with careful hand pruning of the trees and harvesting fruit by hand, helps to ensure the highest quality olives for the best tasting oil. Koroneiki olives are cultivated for their distinctive aromatic flavour and harvested when perfectly ripe according to family tradition.

Vassilakis Estate oil is produced using state-of-the-art extraction technology, and the latest in storage facilities to ensure it reaches the customer as delicious and fresh as the day it was pressed. For a truly traceable product, with characteristics unique to the region, the oil is made using only the first cold pressing of fresh olives, carried out on site within a few hours of harvesting. Every batch is monitored for a guaranteed consistency in quality and flavour. A limited amount of this exclusive oil is produced each year as only olives from the estate itself and some other local growers are used to ensure the integrity of the flavour.
