Alcaparras Luxeapers produce a range of capers and other Mediterranean ingredients in Seville, Spain.

Alcaparras Luxeapers is a family run firm that has been growing and processing capers and other pickled ingredients in the Seville region of Spain since 1982. Located at the edge of the Sierra Nevada National Park where the climate is ideal for cultivating capers, garlic and peppers, Alcaparras Luxeapers use the traditional methods of the region and the finest raw ingredients to ensure an authentically delicious result. The primary focus is preserved capers, the capers are grown on brambly shrubs and harvested in spring and early summer. The fruits are cleaned and immersed in brine that is held at 25oC and left to cure for a minimum of forty days. The capers are then drained and graded according to their size before being bottled in a solution of water, salt, vinegar and wine for a soft, bittersweet flavour. Other products in the range include preserved garlic, green and pink peppercorns, pickled onions and pickles.

Due to the excellent quality standards and investment in state of the art modern technology including machinery to facilitate pasteurising, packaging and labelling of their products, Alcaparras Luxeapers has gone from strength to strength expanding its production facilities to meet demand and exporting their products all over Spain and abroad. The distinctive flavour of these traditional Mediterranean ingredients adds authenticity and enhances the flavour of many recipes – an excellent range of store cupboard ingredients for any kitchen.
