AGR Union
AGR Union is a cooperative of over 47,000 small farmers in Greece supplying olive oil and other local products.
AGR Union is one of the largest agricultural cooperative unions of Greece, it covers 167 producers and over 47.000 farmers. It was established in 1927 to gather the main products of the region, such as raisins and olive oil, and provide services such as agricultural credit and field supplies to the local farmers.
Today the product range includes olive oil, wines, vinegar and table grapes. State-of-the-art factories equipped with modern equipment use the high quality local ingredients to create and package products in adherence with all the relevant industry standards and regulations. AGR Union products are sold across Greece and exported to foreign markets all over the world.
AGR Union continues to support and advise local farmers, helping to preserve and protect farming traditions and maintain the rural economy. Currently they handle 70% of the table grapes, 40% of the wine and 50% of the olive oil production in the region of Iraklion, Crete.
The AGR Union product range showcases the authentic and distinctive flavours of Greece whilst protecting the proud farming heritage of Crete. Their most famous brand the award winning 'KNOSSOS' olive oil uses premium traditionally grown local olives processed using modern technology for the perfect fusion of old and new, creating a superior quality olive oil that has the well balanced, fruity flavour typical of the region.
